Košute

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Church. After celebrating the Solemn Mass in Kosute on 3 June 2005, the Archbishop of the Split-Makarska Archdiocese, Marin Barisic, blessed the construction site and laid the foundation stone for the subsidiary Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and John Paul II Pastoral Centre.

The church was built and dedicated on the occasion of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on 15 of June 2007, while on 20 August 2012 Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Church in Kosute was founded according to the decision of the Archbishop of Split-Makarska. For the occasion, Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, donated the relics of Blessed Aloysius Stepinac which were then placed into the altar.

The church covers a floor area of around 450 square meters, with a polyvalent hall underneath. The pastoral center occupies an area of approximately 700 square meters, with an additional 110 square meters of office space and pastor’s living quarters.
