Gaius Laberius
The tomb of a seven-year old Roman boy named Gaius Laberius, with a statue of him holding a ball in his hand and decorated with a hexagon connected with net and a symbol of a real ball made of leather, is considered to be solid proof that soccer in Europe originates precisely from Cetinska Krajina. It was found at the Tilurium site, at Gardun near the Trilj location, and it dates from the 2nd century AD. At present it has been installed in the facade of a stone house on Sinj Vrlička Street.
