The region of today’s Cetinska Krajina enters the structure of the Croatian state Coastal, also known as Dalmatian Croatia, as one of its counties Cetina (Tzentzena).

Among some of the material proof of the Christian origins in modern Cetinska Krajina, a pilaster (altar screen pole) stands out, located in Okolište in Trilj, and the remnants of the stone furniture from the Church (pilastres) from the old Croatian church are also found at Grab. In addition, some golden jewelry discovered at a grave site where the cemetery is located in modern Trilj as well, originates from the second half of the 9th century.
